Molecular Characterization of Rice Genotypes Using Molecular Markers

چکیده
Rice, (Oryza sativa L. 2n=24) belongs to the family Gramineae and subfamily Oryzoideae. Oryza has two cultivated species: glaberrima. Breeding for good-quality traits requires selection of parents with a wider genetic diversity. Molecular markers are used in molecular biology biotechnology identify sequence DNA. have played an increasing role rice breeding cultivar improvement, screening, selection, germplasm collections. The present investigation is undertaken study diversity among thirty genotypes using ISSR marker.
Out 40 primers, 9 amplified showed polymorphism, viz., 807, 808, 809, 811, 816, 823, 826, 827 829. A total 76 loci were generated by amplification polymorphic out which 66 average 86.84 percent polymorphism. Among 807 produced maximum number 11 loci. dendrogram constructed NTSYSpc 2.02i software grouped all 30 into major clusters (clusters B). Cluster Kalbhat alone one sub-cluster at 69.2% similarity Karjat 2, Jaya, Sairam, Saubhagya Dhan, RPBIO 226, 6, Ratnagiri 1, DRR Dhan 44, 45, 46, MTU 10010, 7, Swarna Shreya, Sugandha, Madhumati. Molecular Characterization of Unknown Potentially Salt Tolerant Olive Genotypes Using RAPD Markers
Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to study the genetic diversity and discriminate among 17 unknown genotypes (considered potentially salt tolerant) and 16 known olive cultivars. Fifteen decamer primers which produced 38 reproducible polymorphic bands in the genotypes were selected for analysis. The RAPD markers resulted in 93 distinct banding patterns. Based on either ...
متن کاملMolecular Characterization of Zhumeria majdea Iranian Germplasms Using ISSR Markers
Investigating genetic diversity in plant species provides a platform for further insight in plant breeding and conservation. Therefore, in the present study genetic diversity of 13 geographically isolated genotypes of Zhumeria majdea, as a seriously endangered medicine plant growing exclusively in Hormozgan province (South of Iran) was studied. To do so, the leaf samples of Z. majdea were colle...
متن کاملMolecular characterization of rice land races using SSR markers
Genetic improvement mainly depends on the extent of genetic variability present in the population. The molecular marker is a useful tool for assessing genetic variations and resolving cultivar identities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the genetic divergence of 12 rice land races using five SSR markers. A total of 11 alleles were detected in 12 land races and the number of alleles ...
متن کاملGenetic Diversity of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes Using RAPD and ISSR Molecular Markers
The importance of grain cultivation especially wheat is obvious in terms of providing human and animal food and its impact on the economy of human societies. The reduction of genetic diversity in cultivars prevents increasing yields in line with rising demand and consumption. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the compatibility of them and increase their genetic extent. In the current, the g...
متن کاملStudy of genetic diversities and relatedness of Iranian citrus genotypes using morphological and molecular markers
Having knowledge about genetic relationships among accessions is necessary for developing breeding strategies to produce improved cultivars. In present study, genetic diversity and inter-relationship among 29 genotypes of citrus were comparatively analyzed using morphological and RAPD markers. Significant variability was observed among citrus genotypes for 61 quantitative and qualitative morpho...
